Frequently Asked Questions

Quiet Heroes is a special luncheon we created 21 years ago to honor you – moms of children diagnosed with cancer. We see the incredible strength and love you pour into every moment as you carry the weight of the world on your shoulders.

While we can’t change the challenges you face, we wanted to create a day just for you. Quiet Heroes was designed to offer a respite from the stress and burdens of daily life, a moment to feel loved, supported, and connected to other moms who truly understand. It’s a day to celebrate you, to share hope, and to know you are not alone. This event welcomes every mother, no matter where you are in your journey. Whether you’re navigating treatment today, celebrating remission, or carrying the memory of your child, you belong here.

That’s the heart behind the Quiet Heroes: a special time to honor, uplift, and connect with the mothers who inspire us every single day.

You can expect a beautiful luncheon, an uplifting program, and the chance to meet other moms. Upon your arrival, friendly faces will greet you and guide you to the Quiet Heroes check-in, where you’ll receive your name tag, event instructions, and a few special surprises. If this is your first time joining us, volunteers will show you around – making sure you have the chance to visit the “Quiet Heroes Lounge,” a special pampering area just for you. Here, makeup artists will be on hand to offer complimentary touch-ups with love.

Afterward, you can explore our incredible silent auction and raffle – no pressure to participate, just the joy of browsing. Most importantly, you’ll get to connect with other Quiet Heroes – women eager to meet you and share this special experience.

The event will culminate with a delicious lunch, inspiring words from fellow Quiet Hero Jenn Hobby, and a keynote address filled with laughter and inspiration from Karen, a nationally touring comedian and mom of three. Her smart, Southern storytelling and relatable humor have made her a favorite on SiriusXM and on stages across the country.

We can only offer one free ticket to each mom. Others are welcome to purchase tickets, which are $175 each, at quietheroes.org/tickets.

We understand this concern so well and realize that attending an event like this can feel intimidating, especially if you don’t know anyone. That’s why special greeters will be there to welcome you at the door, show you around, and introduce you to other Quiet Heroes. We want to make everything as comfortable and special as possible for you – every step of the way. You are not alone here, and we’re so glad you’re joining us.

We are thrilled to be able to provide you with one free ticket. Our goal is to give you the chance to come for free up to five times. With more than 550 children diagnosed with cancer in Georgia each year, new Quiet Heroes are continually joining our community and in need of the same encouragement and care.

While we may not always be able to offer a free ticket every year, know that you will always welcome. In the future, you can purchase a ticket or choose to volunteer, helping us extend the same love and support to new moms. You’ll always have a place here with us.

Attire is business casual. A dress, skirt, or slacks are great. No jeans or shorts, please.

Quiet Heroes is not intended for children.

We put our whole heart into creating a program that leaves you feeling both inspired and supported. We’ve designed every moment to uplift your spirit, honor your journey, and remind you of the strength you carry. This isn’t about sadnessit’s about connection, encouragement, and community.
