Jenn Hobby, Emcee

Jenn Hobby is CURE’s Director of Brand and Communications. Prior to joining CURE in 2025, she had been a content creator, a radio host on Atlanta’s Star 94, a television host on “The Daily 2” and “House 2 Home” at WSB-TV, a TEDx speaker, and an event emcee. Jenn is a well-known Atlanta personality featured on radio and television for more than 20 years. Her radio career has included Star 94 (WSTR-FM), WBTS-FM (95.5 The Beat), WWWQ-FM (Q100), and WKHX-FM (Kicks 101.5). Jenn’s work in television includes WSB-TV, HLN, CNN, The CW (Falcons Playback), GPB, Atlanta Eats TV, Fox5 Atlanta, and 3 Stage Media. She has earned two Gracie Awards for her work in radio and an Emmy for her work in TV at Georgia Public Broadcasting.

Jenn was selected for Atlanta magazine’s exclusive Atlanta 500 list from 2020 through 2024, recognized as one of Atlanta’s top leaders who have shaped the city. In 2020, Jenn hosted a TEDx talk encouraging people to share their unique stories to serve the world. In 2010, Jenn was selected to be a guest host with Regis Philbin on “Live! with Regis and Kelly” on ABC.

Jenn Hobby is a graduate of Florida State University. Jenn is married to Grant Rivera, superintendent of Marietta City Schools, and they have two daughters. After their younger daughter, Reese, beat cancer, Jenn and Grant became advocates for childhood cancer research.

Karen Mills, Inspirational Speaker

Karen Mills is a nationally touring comedian whose smart, relatable humor has been making audiences laugh for more than 30 years. She has performed on the Grand Ole Opry, toured with Leanne Morgan, appeared on The Talk, and joined the cast of the Netflix comedy series Leanne. Her comedy special has reached millions, with clips surpassing 40 million views.

Karen finds humor in the realities of everyday life. That perspective became deeply personal after she was diagnosed with ovarian cancer in 2013. A cancer survivor, Karen has used both her comedy and her story to explore the power of laughter during life’s hardest moments, including in her TEDx talk, Cancer Is a Laughing Matter.

With warmth, honesty, and impeccable timing, Karen reminds audiences that even when life gets difficult, there can still be plenty to laugh about.
